My 2014 message to…you.
Month: December 2013
Merry SWISSmas to you all.
My time here in the Swiss Alps is best expressed, I think, in pictures. Please feel free to check them out over at my Instagram account.
Ducati Pose 101
Art imitates life. Or is it life imitates art? I could not resist recreating the cover of my bionic-hero character, Andy Roid, when my Swiss mate, Andre, rolled out from his garage the same brand of super-bike featured in my series — an awesome Ducati! Of course it’s easy to spot the difference. The guy on the cover is totally cool and um, yours truly, can only wish he were that cool. To be honest…I’m more like Zoolander meets The Fonz – it’s my best Blue Steel pose of 2013 for sure. FYI If you’re a rev-head… the bike in the book is a Ducati 1199 and the one I’m sitting on is a Street-fighter 848 (135 horsepower).
Greetings from London…
Hard not to feel all Christmassy walking the streets of London tonight.
Why I travel…
My bags are packed. Again. When time and work commitments permit…I love to travel. I always have. This month I’m heading to England to reconnect with old friends and my West End-theatre past. Travel has always been a great source of inspiration for me. My best and most creative ideas have come to me when I’ve been on the move – especially on long plane and train rides. See the diagram below for where in the world many of my books were conceived.
Home-drawn Cards of Christmas Past
Fact. I like wolves. I like to draw wolves.
For the past few months I’ve been in a wolf-y state of mind. I don’t know why exactly, but a couple of lupine characters are doing their best to break out in one of my stories. Maybe there’s something here? Or not. Which wolf is your favourite?
